Morning Motivation
Spoken Word
Good morning. I know mornings can feel hard, especially when you're carrying so much inside. It’s okay to feel the way you do right now—you don’t have to fight it. Let’s take this moment together, one gentle step at a time.
Before we do anything else, take a deep breath with me. In through your nose... hold it for a moment... and out through your mouth. Let's do it again. Breathe in... and breathe out. You’re doing great. Just by breathing, you’ve already started your day.
Getting out of bed doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. It’s not about taking on the world all at once. It’s just about one small step—one tiny win. Can you move your feet to the edge of the bed? That’s all we’re aiming for right now. Just that.
You are stronger than this feeling. You’ve made it through so many hard days before, and you’ll make it through today too. You don’t have to have it all figured out, and you don’t need to be perfect. Just showing up for yourself is enough.
Now, imagine the feel of the floor under your feet—steady, supporting you. When you’re ready, gently let your legs dangle down. There’s no rush. You’re doing something amazing just by starting.
Let’s think about one thing that might feel good today. Maybe a warm drink, a little sunshine on your face, or hearing a song you love. These are small acts of care that you deserve, just for being you. Let’s take the first step towards them.
If you’ve made it this far, I’m so proud of you. Even if you just sat up or moved your feet, that’s a victory. One small win at a time—you’re moving forward, and that’s what matters. You’re not alone in this. You’ve got today, and you’ve got this moment.
